Quaise Energy, Inc. is an American Company developing a novel technology for tapping geothermal energy using a new type of “millimeter wave” drilling technology. This technology helps them go deeper into the earth’s crust, upto 20 kms, compared to today’s technologies that are limited up to 5-7 kms, giving them access to high grade heat almost anywhere on the planet. While going deeper, it is expected that the technology will have linear increases in drilling costs unlike current methods where costs go up as you go deeper. This will make geothermal accessible and affordable to all.
