Atomberg had a model to build energy efficient fans for India which would reduce the electricity consumption by almost 2/3rds. This aligned with two objectives of the family. India has more than 3/4th of the electricity being produced from Coal - Atomberg fans would assist in reducing carbon footprint. Also, in a hot tropical country that is largely poor, fans that required less electricity made it affordable for people to have some relief from the heat. The family invested in this company at seed level in 2015 at a USD 1.5 million valuation. Today the company is valued at upwards of USD 55 million.
